This Chard from the legendary, and now 50 year old Chalk Hill Estate, is from the highly praised Russian River Valley in Sonoma. Produced from 100% estate grown fruit, the wine is aged in French oak for 10 months, giving it plenty of body and complexity. The fruit shines through as well, with flavors of baked apple, pear, and lemon mixing nicely with the oak spice and creaminess. Vibrant acidity keeps it balanced and age-worthy.

This white wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc in one of the absolute best places to grow the grape in the world, the Sancerre Appellation in the Loire Valley of France. Sancerre has become a favorite luxury Sauvignon Blanc for U.S. wine drinkers lately, and we can't argue with the logic. Crisp, fruit forward and typically seeing no oak, the wines from this region possess a certain mineral and herbaceous quality that sets them apart from their counterparts in the "New World".
